All Ireland Outdoors ’22-Day 2

Outdoor All Ireland season for juveniles drew to a close this evening and what a weekend for our two CRH athletes……..Eoin Furey and Isla Day…..both finishing 6th in the country💪.
Eoin Furey threw an impressive 10.78 in the u18 Shot put yesterday placing him 6th overall. A superb achievement in a field with exceptionally tough competition.
Eoin is the eldest member in our juvenile club and is such a fine role model for all our younger athletes. His commitment to training and the gentle manner in which he engages with everyone needs to be admired. 👏
Isla Day completed this morning in the u14 1500m and finished 6th fastest girl in the country at this distance.
Isla ran a great race using her intelligence and pace equally to ensure she finished strong on the home stretch. She reached her sub 5 min goal with ease claiming a PB of 4.58.08.
This time needs to be noted considering Isla created a new Galway Championship record earlier in the season with a 5.01.13.
CRH wishes to acknowledge all the hours of entertainment that our young athletes have produced for us over the last few months. Their commitment and dedication to athletics must be applauded and we truly hope they all get to relax and enjoy the summer sun before we return for Cross Country season.

All Ireland Outdoor ’22-Day 1

And the All Irelands begin🥳🥳🥳
CRH’s All Ireland journey began this afternoon with an impressive performance by Patrick Lee in the u12 600m.
Patrick had a tough start but fought tirelessly to make up ground all through the 600m to ensure he knocked 2 secs of his PB, clocked an applaudable 1.46.55 and crossed the finish line in 5th position!
Watch this space for next weekends All Irelands with Eoin Furey and Isla Day flying the CRH flag 🤞🤞🤞.

Summer is here!!!

Fun games and some ice-cream brought CRH Indoor and Outdoor season to a close tonight. 🍦
MASSIVE thanks to all our athletes for their dedication and hard work since January. Solid friendships have been created and great improvements have been made across all disciplines for everyone… long may this good fortune continue for CRH.🤞
Rest while we can…cross country awaits in early September. 😊
