Galway Outdoors ’22- Day 1

CRH bag silverware in Galway Outdoors.๐Ÿ’ช
A fun day was had under glorious blue skies earlier in Dangan at the Galway Outdoors u13/19.
Our u13 boys and girls (Rebecca Mannion, Lauren Silke, Ella Acton, Niall Furey, Shane Connaughton and Brendan Day) gave it their all in their many events.
Our u14 girls were hugely successful with Isla Day winning gold in the 1500m and bronze in the 800m. Amy Joyce followed suit with a bronze in the u14 2km walk.
The hurdles brought glory for our u15 Grace Cullinane with her partners Rhona Connolly and Isobelle Conroy putting in strong performances in all their events.
Nicole Duffy represented our u17 age group exceptionally well with huge effort in the 100m as well as the long and high jump.
Eoin Furey continued his strong performances in the shotput u19 by scoring a silver and added javelin to his skillset today by claiming another silver.
A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all and great to see their dedication to athletics paying off…..many of these athletes have been with us since u9๐Ÿ‘Œ.
Here is hoping tomorrow is as enjoyable for u9 to u12๐Ÿคž

5k series!

So many of our CRH adult members and juvenile coaches are giving the 5km series ‘their all’ this year ๐Ÿ’ช.
We hope all their personal targets are reached and wish them the best of luck in the finale next Tuesday evening in Clarinbridge ๐Ÿ‘Œ.

U18 CRH athlete in All Irelands!

MASSIVE congratulations to Eoin Furey who represented CRH today in the All Irelands u18 Shot Put. Superb effort with exceptionally tuff competition ๐Ÿ’ช.

What a tremendous day for CRH.
We had 44 athletes (3rd largest club entry) and each one gave in their all and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of participating in such a marvellous arena ๐Ÿ‘Œ.
The day started with our u 9 Boys relay team scoring GOLD. This is the first time these boys have ran in a relay and they performed brilliantly, listening to all instructions. Fair play to Rian Carroll, Aaron Lally, Jason Ruane, Donnacha Creavan and Mark Coyne.๐Ÿ’ช
The girls u10 relay team of Saoirse Griffin, Laoise Connaughton, Eve Shanahan, Doireann Marrinan, Anna Lee and Emma Kelly were up next and narrowly missed out on Bronze.
We entered two u10 teams in the Boys relay and all the athletes on both teams put in huge effort. Well done to Aaron Scully, Adam Fitzgerald, Ruairi Higgins, Eoghan Brady, Sean Langan, Keelin O Grady, Donnacha O Brien and Jason Ruane.
The Boys u 11 relay came in second with again huge performances by Joseph Killilea, Brian Griffin, Kalem O Neill, Luke Coyneand Jamie Severs Redmond.
We entered an astounding 3 relay teams in the u11 Girls. Ciara Murphy, Holly Acton, Ella Crowley and Holly Myers scored SILVER. Kieva Duffy, Elise Day, Amber Sweeney and Kayleigh Noone narrowly missed on BRONZE and Mia Oโ€™Shaughnessy, Mia Oโ€™Hara, Alannah Grant and Ciara Duffy put in a superb effort.
The individual races were equally as successful for CRH athletes.
Saoirse Griffin scored a GOLD in the u10 400m and her brother, Brian, matched it with a GOLD in the u11 60m.
Ruairi Higgins certainly EARNED his BRONZE medal in the u10 400m on take two.
Ciara Murphy proved herself in both the 60m and the 600m u11 by winning BRONZE and GOLD respectively and her class mate Holly Acton joined her on the podium by scoring a SIVER in the u11 600m.
Our u9 girl duo of Honour Mcnamara and Maggie Mannion showed lots of potential in both the 60m and 200m.
The long jump also attracted many of our athletes with strong performances from Donnacha O Brien, Ciara Duffy, Alannah Grant and Kayleigh Noone.
CRH most definitely ROCKED AIT and every athlete left with fantastic memories.
Many thanks to all the coaches and parents who helped….a TEAM effort which will hopefully continue to ensure CRH’s future remains bright……bring on the Galway Outdoors.๐Ÿ’ช

All Ireland success for CRH in Indoor Chnampionship!

As All Ireland Indoor Championship Weekend 1 draws to a close we are exceptionally PROUD of all our athletes endeavors.
We had gold medals ๐Ÿ…, PB’s, huge efforts and even non attendance due to covid ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญbut CRH performances on the national stage is one to be applauded.
Reaching and partaking in an All Ireland event with the best in the country is MASSIVE …….thanks to all our athletes involved.

New National Record for CRH athlete!
