Our senior club is community focused, and offers an opportunity for runners to train in a supportive environment. Whether you are an experienced runner, returning after a break, or simply looking to stay fit and social, you’ll find a group of people who motivate and support each other every step of the way. There’s no pressure to be fast or competitive – we believe that everyone should feel comfortable and included, regardless of pace or experience. Our members look out for each other, and help make every run as enjoyable and beneficial as possible.
Our Senior Club have weekly runs for members around the Claregalway area:
- Tuesday @ 7pm: Club run from Loughgeorge.
- Saturday @ 7am: Long run from Flynn’s of Lackagh. Join us for our Saturday morning long (and slow!) run! We leave from Flynn’s of Lackagh at 7am and offer a variety of distances for runners of all paces. Whether it’s 5k or 35k, there is a place for all. After the run we meet for a well-earned coffee and scone in Treat Café.
- Seasonal programmes include: Strength & Conditioning, Couch 2 5k, Hill Sessions, Track Sessions.
Our club is also very active beyond the scheduled sessions above. Members post in our WhatsApp group to invite others out for additional runs, walks, or meetups. There’s usually someone looking for company and encouragement, and being part of CRH Senior Club is a great way to meet new people while staying active and healthy.
Over the course of the year, members sign up for different challenges ranging from local 5k events to Marathons. We are always happy to welcome new members.
If you are interested in joining us, we would love to meet you. You can join our Senior Club WhatsApp group here.
